About
Second Anniversary Letter
As I write this Second Anniversary letter for Warriors of the Sword, I suppose it is a time to reflect. I am blessed to be working at a wonderful summer camp, and the band from one of the groups is jamming loudly away in the conference room next door. Outside the birds are singing and the summer heat streams down from the sky. It will be cooler this evening, though, when the sunlight fades and the breeze blows in off the water. A perfect time to hike the trails and stroll the beach, reminiscing about how far God has brought me in the last few years. I have grown so much.
I am still blessed to attend New Life in Christ church in Foley, Alabama, where I can gladly serve in children's church and drama. I am blessed to have seen so much of God in His creation, and to have met so many new Christ-seeking friends. I am blessed above and beyond to have my wonderful jewel of a mother. She may not be perfect, but God has taught me so much more of an appreciation for her. I have watched her grow and seek God, and have come to a place myself where I can truly rejoice in her.
As for Warriors of the Sword, I am blessed to still have it and to still have ideas coming. God is keeping me busy with things to write for Him. The website itself has perhaps shifted a bit in it's purpose and outreach. But my main goal is still to honor God and to reach others with His truth and encouragement—whether through my photography, through educational or practical writings, or by Christian fiction. My prayer is that, in whatever I do, I will encourage sinners to come to Christ and Christians to live their lives holy unto God. I praise God for the opportunities He has given me, and for the provision He has promised to provide. May my life be a breeze in the storm of His majesty. Hallelujah!

About
Warriors of the Sword is a Christian website that has sprung from my desire to share the gospel with others through writing and photography, as well as any other means I may come across. The name comes from the fact that the gospel is "sharper than any two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12) and that, as Christians, we are called to "fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12) and be warriors for Christ. So we are to be Warriors of the Sword, "which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:17). This site is created to assist in that.
As for me, I could be called a student (which I am) and perhaps a part-time writer (I've begun writing at least three different books so far, but I've given up on all but one of them by now). I am also a photographer without a camera, which kind of sucks. I once used my dad's old Pentax 35mm camera (which is probably older than I am, making it at least 16 years old), but now it has gone crazy on me and tries to set up all of the settings and controls on its own exactly how I don't want them to be. I can't get it to go back to manual mode at all. And besides that, it refuses to even roll the film back up into the canister anymore, so that every time I go to take the film out all of my pictures are ruined by the light! So now I just want to get a nice digital camera. That would also save me a lot of money on film development.
Meanwhile, I have set up this site. Everything on this site, unless otherwise noted, is my work. You can feel free to take all the quotes or anything else that you wish, but please include a citation for this website. I do not appreciate plagairism, and I don't think that anyone else does either.
My headquarters, one might say, can be found in Fairhope, AL, a "small town" that has become just a little too big if you ask me. But it is still a beautiful place to live, at least in some parts if not in all. A good portion of my photos were taken here in Fairhope, so you can decide for yourself what you think. And as for church, I can be proud to say that I attend New Life in Christ Church in Foley (and I certainly have had a bit of a new life come about within the past few months, though not exactly in the spiritual sense!). You can visit the church website at http://newlifeinchristchurch.net/index.php.
